ok, seriously. there is no better song out there to accompany this post so click play and listen for a minute and then peruse the photos because that exactly what i am about to do, take it to the streets.
the streets of new orleans that is. anyone that has ever spent any amount of time in the french quarter knows these images all to well. infact, they are very likely sitting in your own photo album at home, on your book shelf. so maybe this will inspire you to get up and brush the dust off that said album (do people even use albums anymore?) and take a wee little trip down the old memory lane. for those that have never been, well...... here is a taste of a little something that is very french quarter. street performers. be they musicians or the scarier (for me) still life performers. of course every corner is littered with men (or women) that are painted from head to toe with metallic gold or silver that play music and act all robotic like but shooot, we have those here in san diego, so what's the originality in showing that? the two non musicians that i am going to show you are a lot more like still life paintings. a bit more unique and inventive. (albeit creepy, yeah i'm talking to you dude with the frame). nonetheless, when frozen in time, they are beautiful. with frame dude i am kicking myself for not having noticed the woman in the background. it would have been WAY better without her in it. le boo. anywho, se la vie!
so without further ado, let us take it to the streets!
xoxo.
