things are looking up. 6/365.

well, here it is, blew it yesterday for the second time in this first week. arg. at this rate i will run out of excuses faster than being able to just sigh, shrug, and accept that shit happens. so, yeah, i didn't post a picture yesterday. in fact, i don't think that i even took a single picture. no bueno mis amigos. HOWEVER, i took more than a photo today as i went to the hoyt arboretum. a tree zoo of sorts here in portland. and good lord it's beautiful there. a space where i could happily get lost for hours on end. constantly seeing photos amongst the trees. sitting on benches and weaving magical stories of fairly like proportions. ugh, heaven. sometimes though, when walking through such a beautiful forest, it's hard to remember that sometimes, it's just as stunning to just look up. lets just hope that it's a sign that things are looking up in 2011.

wrong turn, right time. 4/365.

what a great start i'm already off to, eh? here it was day 4 and i wasn't able to post in time. this does not bode well for the next 361 days! although i do have an excuse, i forgot my computer while house sitting and couldn't figure out how to mobile upload a photo. but really, excuses excuses. i did however go on a photo expedition while hunting for a freeway late last night. it seemed that every wrong turn was a right opportunity to take some cool pictures. although rolling around industrial areas probably wasn't the most street savvy decision i have ever made (sorry mom), i came out unscathed. unfortunately i finally broke my little camera so these days, i am only armed with my phone camera. nonetheless, here is one image that i came up with, the portland convention center on a foggy foggy thursday night.
