i picked up a book today at costco that got me all amp'd up and super jazzed. it was all about macro photography. now granted close ups are always cool but this was just awesome! it was all on distorting images. an example. if you zoomed up real close on a dew ridden spider web, with the proper technique you could create the image of pearls. hard to explain without a visual but anyways, it has inspired me in a manner that i haven't been inspired in a while. i am super stoked to go out there and take some new photos with this in mind. but that's a post for a future date. today i want to share a few things that i have already done in which i have taken the average, and through careful visual cropping, captured something unique that was within something simple. for example, tree bark or moss growing on trees or empty boxes.... here, let me show you instead of all this blah blah blahing.
so here is an example of how what something looks like from afar,
can change when seen upclose.
this is an example of texture that can be created from tree bark.
or what you can see if you looked at a telephone pole that is used for flyers, a little closer.
or moss on a tree.
or nifty designs that are naturally formed on trees.
or as this case is, in trees.
xoxo.
